wDrive

What is wDrive?

wDrive consists out of thee Components, which are wDrive Sync (The Windows Desktop Synchronization Application), the wDrive Web (The Web-Application that manages the access to the data of a user through the Browser) and finally the wDrive Web Service Component. Both, the wDrive Web Application and the wDrive Service Application need an IIS-Webserver. wDrive allows you to keep your data central (At home, on a Home-Server, a Company-Server or an own Virtual Server in the Cloud) and to access it from different Computers/Mobile Devices with a Browser or with the Windows Desktop Client (Windows only) and Internet access.

What do I need to run it?

The Component "wDrive" works only with the Windows OS and needs at least Windows Server 2012 R2 with .NET Framework 4.8. On a Windows Server there needs to be configured the IIS and Active Directory. After that you can start configuring "wDrive". For the Server-Hadware there are no big requirements. That all was configured and tested on a HP MicroServer Gen8.
